Learn · the wedding paper guide
Every piece, in the order you'll need it.
What each card does, when it goes out, how it's printed and on what. Everything on this page is rendered on the real sheet, so what you see is the finish you'll hold.

Print methods
Five ways to put ink on paper
- Flat inkAny of sixteen inks or a custom hex, printed flat. The everyday finish; every design starts here.
- FoilGold, silver or rose gold, pressed hot into the sheet. Catches light; best on navy, black or cotton white.
- LetterpressInk pressed into thick cotton so the type sits in the paper. Fewer colours, more depth.
- Raised inkThermography: the ink is heated so it rises off the sheet with a slight gloss. Classic for formal invitations.
- White inkOpaque white on dark stock. Navy, black and kraft take it beautifully.
